Nicola Williams

Living in a French lakeside village near Geneva, border-hopping is a way of life. Good food and wine is my raison d’être and reason to travel. Hunting for Tuscan white truffles, meeting melon farmers in Provence, dining incognito in the next best Parisian bistro or drinking with experimental winemakers in Languedoc is part and parcel of my work as a freelance writer, editorial consultant, Art of the Weekend contributor and Lonely Planet author. France, Switzerland and Italy is where I am most.

My passion for design and creative travel, a social-media junkie husband who happens to be mad about offbeat festivals, and a trio of young tri-lingual children with ants in their pants ensures travel with a skip in its step every time.
